In a world where chaos reigns and every headline triggers a new wave of emotion, maintaining peace has become an act of rebellion.
There is so much chaos going on in the world right now! Everyday our timelines and news headlines give us something new to be upset, sad or confused about. As New things are being brought to light and old ways are dying out, those of us with heightened sensitivity might find ourselves either in serious protective mode of our nervous system or becoming total hermits to cope.
Over the past few years, particularly since 2020, I've observed what times like these bring out in people. It's like they say weddings and funerals bring out people's true colors, the same goes for crisis. It boggles my mind how many people can CHOOSE hate and bullying WHILE we are all going through collective shifts yet say it's in the name of them standing up for what's right.
There's not a thing that anyone can say to me that will make me understand how others can feel it is their right to label people as "inhumane" for not being as reactive as they are to certain things.
Personally, when I'm focused on a mission or goal, I don't have time to worry about who is doing what. If someone isn't aligned with my mission, I move around them without judgement.
We all have our roles to play in society. Some are activists built for the front lines, while others contribute in quieter, equally important ways.
Throwing yourself in a protest just for social media content or to LOOK like you're standing up for a cause in my mind is dangerous, especially if you're not equipped to deal with the things that may happen at a protest.
This revolution has multiple lanes, and we can't all cram into one. The person using social media to raise awareness isn't greater than the person comforting a grieving friend. Bullying others into roles their souls didn't sign up for adds friction and divisiveness, making people become what they are claiming to despise.
Life is all about contrast. While some are busy breaking down the world as we know it, there are other people simultaneously building a new world. There are people assigned to go to battle, they are convicted to throw themselves on the frontline for certain causes, and yes, there are people here that are just meant to be on the sidelines minding their business and going about their daily lives. Who am I to judge anyone for how they cope with things?
Throughout my life, I've been labeled "nonchalant" or accused of making people feel "disposable" because I don't react as expected. Often, those who say this are the ones who crave control over me. They make me out to be the villain for not following the script they created in their own mind. No one knows what I go through to remain grounded, nor the experiences I've been through that taught me how to stay calm in uncontrollable situations.
Some of us are actually here to be the calm in the midst of the storm, to provide laughter, and to remind others of the good things in life.
I see two truths: to the left is hate, chaos, confusion and mass destruction; to the right is love, clarity and communities being built based on authentic connections. I get to choose which one I focus on. I get to choose to align with love, even if it's just the love that is inside of me.
No one gets to tell me how high to jump but my inner guidance system who knows what I'm built for.
If you're an empath, healer or someone who just feels deeply, take care of yourself. Don't let this world force you into roles that aren't yours. Connect with your heart to understand your true calling. Don't let fear or bullies dictate your path.
In these chaotic times, stay true to yourself and choose love over conflict. Your way of coping is valid, and staying true to yourself is the greatest form of resilience and strength.
Peace and Love to all,
Rachele
